
DELBA SAIDA BADROVNA

She is an Abkhaz poet, journalist, publicist, winner of the D. I. Gulia State Prize of the Republic of Abkhazia (posthumously). D. I. Gulia of the Republic of Abkhazia (posthumously).
She was a participant of the 1992-1993 Patriotic War of the people of Abkhazia.
She was awarded the Order of Leon of the Republic of Abkhazia (posthumously).
She was born on 27 July 1965 in Tkuarchal, Abkhazian ASSR.
She graduated from Tkuarchal secondary school No. 5.
In 1982, she entered the Faculty of Philology of the Abkhaz State University. She graduated from Tkuarchal secondary school No. 5
В 1985 г. она перевелась на факультет журналистики МГУ им. М. А. Ломоносова, но в 1987 г. вернулась в Абхазию и продолжила учебу на филологическом факультете Абхазского государственного университета, который окончила в 1989 г.
Since 1990, she was a teacher at the Duripsha secondary school in Gudauta district.
From 1991, she was editor-in-chief of the newspaper Aublaa, published in Gudauta. She published articles in the pages of the same newspaper.
Her poems were published in the magazine «Alashara» («Light») (1984, No.1), also a selection of poems in the same edition (1986, No.3), in the newspaper «Abkhazian University». After her death, her poems were often published in the magazines «Alashara», «Abaza»; newspapers «Apsny», «Bzyb», «Etsvadzhaa» («Constellation»); In the collection «Ahatsarashva. Azhveinraalakua. Azhvabjhjkua. Astatiakua. - Song of courage. Poems. stories. Articles» (Akua-Sukhum, 1995). A large selection of the poetess's works is also published in the second volume of the «Anthology of Abkhazian Poetry. XX century» (Akua-Moscow, 2001; second edition - Akua-Moscow, 2009). A number of her poems were published in Russian in translations by L. Lyubchenko, E. Chuprina, V. Zantaria and others.
From the beginning of the Georgian-Abkhazian war in 1992-1993, she participated in combat operations as a nurse together with soldiers of the Eastern Front. In one of the offensives in the village of Merkula, Ochamchira district, she was seriously wounded. She died of her wounds in Tkuarchal Military Hospital on 1 December 1992.
