Abkhazian and Soviet prose writer, scriptwriter and playwright.
Born on 1 August 1932 in the village of Pakuash, Ochamchira district, Abkhazian ASSR.
In 1951 he graduated from Pakuashchi secondary school.
In 1951-1954 he worked as a miner at Tkuarchalugol mine No. 2.
In 1959 he graduated from the Faculty of History of the Sukhumi State Pedagogical Institute named after A.M. Gorky. At the institute he took an active part in the literary circle. It was during his student years that he declared himself as a writer. After completing his studies, he worked for several months as a correspondent in the editorial office of the Ochamchira district newspaper "Akommunizm akhi" ("Path to Communism"), then as a history teacher at the Gantiad (now Tsandrypsh) boarding school.
In 1960-1966. - Correspondent, head of the editorial department of the newspaper Apsny Kapsh; in 1966-1970 - director of the Abkhazian branch of the Georgian SSR Artists' Foundation. - Director of the Abkhaz branch of the Georgian SSR Artists' Fund.
In 1970, he returned to the editorial office of the newspaper Apsny Kapsh, where he worked for some time as head of department, then until 1977 he was head of department of the Abkhazian regional committee of the Communist Party of Georgia.
From 1977 - Director of the Abkhazian State Book Publishing House, from 1983 - Head of the Department of Publishing, Printing and Book Trade under the Council of Ministers of the Abkhaz ASSR.
In 2005-2013. - Member of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Abkhazia.
He was elected a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Abkhaz ASSR of the 11th convocation (1985-1990).
His works have been translated into Russian and other languages. He is the author of 28 books, including novels, novellas, short stories and plays.
Author of film scripts: "In the Night of the New Moon" ("Mosfilm", 1978), "The Bell of the Sacred Forge" ("Mosfilm", 1982) and plays: "The Voice of the Spring" (1981); "White Briefcase" (1984); "The Fourth of March" (Abkhazian State Drama Theatre named after S.Y. Chanba), "My Role" (Sukhumi Georgian Drama Theatre, 1987); "Bribe" (Dargin State Drama Theatre, Makhachka, 1988). S. Y. Chanba), "My Role" (Sukhumi Georgian Drama Theatre, 1987); "Bribe" (Dargin State Drama Theatre, Makhachkala, 1988); "Main Role" (Belarus, Grodno Regional Theatre, 1989). He made two feature films - "The Bell of the Sacred Forge" and "On the Night of the New Moon". Many of his works have been published outside Abkhazia. His plays were staged at the Abkhazian State Drama Theatre named after S. Chanba. S. Chanba.
Adjinjal Shalodia Madzarovich - winner of the D. Gulia Prize. D. Gulia, winner of the Mayakovsky International Prize, Honoured Worker of Culture of the Republic of Abkhazia.
