
AJINJAL ANATOLY TARHUNOVICH

Born on 6 June 1930 in the village of Kutol, Ochamchirsky district, SSR Abkhazia.
Graduated from Sukhumi State Pedagogical School in 1951, A.M. Gorky Sukhumi State Pedagogical Institute in 1956, Higher Literature Courses at the A.M. Gorky Literary Institute in Moscow in 1974. He began to write poems during his studies at the pedagogical school and was published since 1948.
Known as a translator, he translated into Abkhazian poems and stories by Russian, Ukrainian, Ossetian, Georgian, Circassian and Abaza poets and prose writers - L. Tolstoy, V. Verkhovsky, V. Oryolkin, T. Shevchenko, L. Ukrainka, K. Khetagurov, G. Leonidze, M. Mirneli (Tsikolia). V. Oryolkin, T. Shevchenko, L. Ukrainka, K. Khetagurov, G. Leonidze, M. Mirneli (Tsikolia), A. Khanfenov, J. Laguchev, P. Tsekov, M. Chikatuev, Y. Tsekov, M. Tlyabicheva, S. Kapaev and others.
